FOR REDS BROWNS & BLUES

Vascular Lesions

Vascular lesions are a type of common skin concern that affect up to 50% of women aged 18 years and up. Spider veins, telangiectasias, and diffuse redness may be systemic but are often a result of aging, sun damage or pregnancy. Vascular lesions can also be present from birth, appearing as a red or purple birthmark.

Rosacea, which is a chronic skin condition and often mistaken for a sunburn or rosy skin, presents with redness, visible blood vessels and sometimes tiny red bumps that can be compared to acne. Rosacea often worsens over time, so it is important to treat and prevent with a combination of oral and topical medications, as well as laser therapy.  The excel V laser is very efficient when it comes to treating deeper, darker vascular lesions including leg and periorbital veins as well as venous lakes and venous malformations.

AGING & SUN DAMAGE

Pigmented Lesions

Pigment, tone and textural issues come in many forms. Signs of aging and sun damage leave unwanted freckles and age spots and leave the skin’s appearance looking dull, uneven and aged. Photoaging is a combination of browns and reds and must be treated simultaneously to alleviate both concerns. For global color correction, our Laser Genesis (link- or skip to below) procedure has gained popularity for achieving brighter, more uniform skin without downtime.

Discrete pigmented lesions, whether freckles, lentigines or age spots, require individualized treatment options. The laser wavelength, energy delivered, and spot size must be uniquely customized to address the patients concern and skin type.
