Medical Grade Peels
Medical Grade Peels are essential for maintaining skin’s health and appearance. Layers of an acid solution are applied directly to the skin in order to induce peeling or sloughing of the skin. Your SkinMD Medical Aesthetician will help you select which peel is right for you, based on your skin type, concerns and skincare goals. At SkinMD we offer an array of peels from light to deep in depth.
Medical Grade Peels help reduce visible signs of photoaging (including fine lines and wrinkles), improves the appearance of uneven skin tone and dullness by exfoliating surface cells, softens and smoothes the skin’s surface texture, decreases the frequency of acne breakouts and fades the appearance of post-acne discoloration, and complements benefits of in-office procedures.
Formulated with niacin, lactic acid, and usnic acid, Micropeel Sensitive Skin Solution gently exfoliates all types of skin, decongests pores, hydrates skin, and helps improves the appearance of photodamage.
This solution features a 20% salicylic acid to help improve the appearance of acne, fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, laxity, dullness, and skin imperfections.
This superficial peel targets aging skin, oily or blemish-prone skin, and uneven tone and texture. Available in 30%, 50% and 70%. Downtime includes possible mild peeling for several days, depending on the depth of the peel.
Medium to Deep
This medium depth peel targets aging skin, acne scarring, large pores, and skin discoloration. Active ingredients include: 14% Salicylic Acid, 14% Lactic Acid, 14% Resorcinol. Downtime includes pink and peeling for several days.
In-office Reveal Peel may be performed as a standalone treatment or after microneedling. The regenerative peel works to penetrate the skin’s dermal layer to lift deep set pigmentation and refine overall skin texture. You will receive a post-care kit to minimize irritation and maximize your results following the Reveal TCA peel. Best results are achieved with repeated monthly treatments. Peeling and redness may last up to one week.
Choose from 4% or 8% Retinol. In-office Retinol Peel may be performed as a standalone treatment or after microneedling. The active ingredient is Retinol which is microencapsulated to allow for slow release into the dermis, thereby creating little to no irritation and stimulating more collagen growth than tretinoin. The protein rich base promotes collagen production and repairs cell damage.
